Three Things About Islam; watch and learn

My faith in Jesus doesn’t require me to be disagreeable toward other beliefs. My intellect compels me to think about the differences between these different beliefs and make a reasonable decision. Jesus’ claim was that He is God. How does this affect our conversations with those who agree and disagree with our beliefs? The book of Isaiah (Old Testament) gives a plea from God to those who have turned away from Him and His goodness. Chapter 1, verses 17 and 18 state:

Learn to do good;
Seek justice,
Reprove the ruthless,
Defend the orphan,
Plead for the widow.

“Come now, and let us reason together,”
Says the LORD,
“Though your sins are as scarlet,
They will be as white as snow;
Though they are red like crimson,
They will be like wool.

Does the religion of Islam, taken to its logical end, do this even for its own adherents? (Google search to find how many have died on account of “fanatical” Islam during the holy time of Ramadan). On a similar note: Have you ever done a web search with the terms “muslims burn christians”? It’ll open your eyes to just some of the extremes sharia law imposes.

This video gives an overview of things you may not know about Islam.

    I totally agree, and there is no sense of proportion or fairness about this in the general media at large. The World Trade Center is destroyed, and many muslims who are not terrorists themselves dance in the streets. They also, the more moderate muslims, the non-terrorists, burn US flags, bibles, beat their wives, agree with the concept of honor killings, and more. Not all muslims, but many are like this.

    Meanwhile, one whacky preacher wants to burn a Koran and the whole Islamic world, who have been burning Bibles for years, is outraged. And if we dare move the mosque a few more blocks from Ground Zero, where Islamic terrorists destroyed thousands of innocent lives, we are warned that there would be severe repercussions about this.

    Lynn, I read an article from our local liberal newspaper, and they didn’t mention any number at all about the 40,000 people there at ground zero. The Oregonian mentioned the 1,000 people there for the counter protest, but didn’t put the other number there in proportion to them.

    Some have commented that there were families of the survivors that felt the ones that protested the mosque/facility being built detracted from the ones who were still grieving their families. I don’t know how I feel about that.

    Yes, Bibles AND Christians have been burned in Islamic countries. Sharia law would also put to death adulteresses, gays and those who refuse to convert to Islam.

    I’ve been pondering the Book of Revelation with the idea of Sharia law in effect in the whole world. Maybe that’s a stretch, but the passages about those “beheaded” have always made me wonder what kind of extreme religion of the Antichrist would demand beheading? With Sharia law, it’s easy to see that as the case. I don’t know; it was just some of my thoughts.
