Go, therefore and make disciples …

 Matthew 28:18-21

“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. ” KJV

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, “teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.  And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” ESV

Well, if I’m to take this passage and own it — because I love His Word — then I am to receive His authority to “make disciples”, “teach all nations”, and “teaching them to observe whatsoever things” He commands of us.

As a woman, a wife, a mother, a grocery shopper, a student, an employee, a friend, a grandmother, a sister …. you get the idea. What do I do if all my children are grown, or even, what if I don’t have any children? Who do I teach? Just the younger women in the church? But I thought they were already Christians? What about people outside the church? Do I preach the Gospel, or do I just teach women how to be keepers at home, how to do the laundry (earth-friendly detergent only) and encouraging them to home-birth, grow their own weird fungus concoctions in their fridges?

Where does the Gospel proclamation come into a woman’s life after she has received it as her own gift from God?
